Say it's true, black and blue, I can share your situation
Been holding our emotions back, will only make us cry
If you go, I know, but you know, it ain't so serious anyway
When the clouds arise we'll live on

Ocean Drive
Don't know why you're so blue
Sun's gonna shine on everything you do
And the sky is so blue
Sun's gonna shine on everything you do

He left you Black and blue, without a word of explanation
And he took your love for granted and he left you high and dry
You know someday, when you'll wonder what you see in him anyway
What that days arrives we'll live on

Ocean Drive
Don't know why you're so blue
Sun's gonna shine on everything you do
And the sky is so blue
Sun's gonna shine on everything you do

A song with a great message of encouragement. Sounds so great, at times relaxing, at times rocking, at times epic. Ive elected this as one of my funeral songs.

My mum passed away recently, and this is a song that reminds me of her. She was so beautiful, and was such a good person. She also was given a hard time by some men in her life, and this song sums that up for both of us. The thing is, I know that she will live on forever, and the sun did shine on everything she did, and everything she will do. It is such a good song to remind you that whatever happens in your life, you are only a human and there is only so much you can do about it, but if you are strong then you will heal and things will become become brighter. Ultimately and metaphorically, you will live on your own Ocean Drive. Peace out.

They were on BBC Breakfast this morning (17/01/2011) saying that Ocean Drive was in Newcastle. Just looked on Google Maps and the nearest is Ocean Road in South Shields. It doesn't look that special - fine enough as a shopping street - just not anywhere you'd actually aspire to live ... anyone have the full story on where it is?

Replying to Agatha's comment, basically every single from Lighthouse Family can do that, so i'd just advise to buy two of their albums, Ocean Drive and Postcards from Heaven Cd's.

i love this song. this is like a stalker song, in my opinion.but in a sweet kinda way.it is in the POV of a third party watching a girl being treated badly by her dick-sucking boyfriend, and he offers solace...

To me, this is a song that the guy (like i can spell OR pronounce his name) is singing to someone that he loves, and she's split up with a husband or bf, possibly an abusing one (black and blue)

love the song though. always makes me smile. as do all lighthouse songs. god i need to buy them on CD (only got tapes)

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
