Rosa Parks Lyrics
we the type of people make the club get crunk
total chaos, for these playas, thought we was absent
we taking another route to represent the dungeon family like Great Day, me and my nigga just had to take the back way we stabbin every city then we headed to that bat cave
a-t-l Georgia, what do we do for ya, bulldoggin' hoes like them Georgetown Hoyas, boy, you soundin silly think my brougham aint sittin pretty doin doughnuts round you suckas like them circles round them titties Damn, we the commitee, goin' burn it down, but we goin' bust you in the mouth with the chorus now
(hook)
i met a gypsy and she hit me to some life game, to stimulate and activate the left and right brain, she said "baby boy you only funky as your last cut, you focus on the past your ass'l be a has what" that's one to live by or either that's one to die to i try to just throw it at you determine your own adventure, Andre, got to her station here's my destination she got off the bus the conversation lingered in my head for hours took a shower kinda sour cuz my favorite group aint comin' wit it but im witcha cuz you probobly goin through it anyway, but, anyhow when in doubt went on out and bought cuz i thought it would be jammin but examin all the flawsky, wasky awfully, sad and its costly but that's all she wrote and i hope i never have to float in that boat, up shit creek its weak is the last quote that i wanna hear when im goin' down when all's said and done and we got a new joe in town when the record player get to skippin or slowin down, all's y'all could say is them niggaz earned that crown-but until then

i would never have realized this if i hadn't been listening to erykah badu's "mama's gun" and outkast's "aquemini" at the same time for a whole a week, but dre's line about "the gypsy" hitting him to "some life game" is about erykah badu. she answers back and affirms her identity as the gypsy in her song "...& On". i was like "oh shit!" when i made the connection. i knew that they had been together and had a child, but it was still kind of cool to see them referencing each other :o)

okay, okay. before you all start judging and say that some of the words are wrong, i'll have you know that "do you wanna bump and slump wit us" is really what they say. the word slump is a song in the same album as Rosa Parks. Sorry, but i just had to defend the turf.

This song is bumpin.

this songs fucking sweet

i love this song till this everyday even wit all tha new shit out i like tha old stuff

it's raw as hell, like B.O.B. when you hear it you want to dance or try and sing it

That goes to show how great Outkast are - I love the harmonica insturment and never once dreamt the harmonica could be used in a hip hop song with the same degree of talent as the usual genres the instrument features in.
Grammy of 2005? - 4 sure!

ironically, the real Rosa Parks didn't care for the song--she didn't like the fact that they made the song without asking her, and especially disproved of a song with her name on it including profanity. She took legal action, but I'm not sure what ever came of it.

Has anyone heard the 2Pac/Snoop remix? That's hot.
There's also one with Eminem which I wanna hear, but I haven't yet.

Rosa Parks was offened that Outkast named this song after her, and sued them in federal court. The song eventually made it all the way to the Supreme Court, and Outkast and it's record company were forced to pay damages to Ms. Parks.
@mattsav wonder if she'll sue me if i say "damn, kind of a bitch huh?"....guess she probably woulda moved her seat though had she not had that personality? I always wonder, if Rosa Parks is a bit like Columbus-getting all the credit but in actuality people all around her were pulling shit like that. History is always like that...the media...
