I'm lyin' here on the floor where you left me
I think I took too much
I'm crying here, what have you done?
I thought it would be fun

I can't stay on your life support
There's a shortage in the switch
I can't stay on your morphine
'Cause it's making me itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again
But she's bein' a little bitch
I think I'll get outta here

Where I can run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you're just like a pill
'Stead of makin' me better
You keep makin' me ill
You keep makin' me ill

I haven't moved from the spot where you left me
This must be a bad trip
All of the other pills, they were different
Maybe I should get some help

I can't stay on your life support
There's a shortage in the switch
I can't stay on your morphine
'Cause it's making me itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again
But she's bein' a little bitch
I think I'll get outta here

Where I can run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you're just like a pill
'Stead of makin' me better
You keep makin' me ill
You keep makin' me ill

Run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you're just like a pill
'Stead of makin' me better
You keep makin' me ill
You keep makin' me ill

I can't stay on your life support
There's a shortage in the switch (just like a pill)
I can't stay on your morphine
'Cause it's making me itch (just like a pill)
I said I tried to call the nurse again
But she's bein' a little bitch (just like a pill)
I think I'll get outta here

Where I can run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears (frustrated, frustrated fears)
And I swear you're just like a pill
'Stead of makin' me better
You keep makin' me ill
You keep makin' me-

Run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you're just like a pill
'Stead of makin' me better
You keep makin' me ill (you're makin' me, makin' me ill)
You keep makin' me-

Run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears (yeah)
And I swear you're just like a pill (yeah)
'Stead of makin' me better
You keep makin' me ill
You keep makin' me ill (oh, you're makin' me run)

Run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears

    My Interpretation

It's hard to explain, but I'll try my best :/ You know how you have a box of pills on the shelf behind the counter? And it looks good, but it could be out of date and false labelled? Well, I think she's trying to compare herself to wanting this guy who looks good from a distance, and when she finally gets a taste of him, she wants to get away from him & his dramas. And I also think, in the part: "I said I tried to call the nurse again but shes being a little bitch" -- I think that part is about her friends telling her he's no good for her, but she never believed them. And now that she realises that she's made a mistake, her friends have turned against her. If you believe this is the right interpretation, please reply or rate up :D

she IS comparing acid to her boyfriend... how he was amazing at first but now he's a nightmare... you can have good and bad trips. good trips are when you see good things (her loving boyfriend) but now she's in a bad trip (he's cold and turning into a nightmare) he's in charge of how the drug works... the one who can give and lace it.

she does however say that she's laying in the spot where he left her... so maybe she really is on something too and he abandoned her...

we don't know if she's seeing herself physically in the middle of no where or just helpless. it's probably both :)

She is comparing a boy to a pill. She has just been with this guy, not for the first time. She is saying all the times before its been like a high... but now this time it was a "bad trip" meaning she got a bad pill and she isnt reacting to it the same. She is saying that this guy has been like a drug to her, and so far spending time with him has been like a high but now its getting old, and she feels addicted. Instead of making her better, being good for her, like a pill you would get from a doctor, he is making her ill, like a drug gone wrong.

I love this song right now. It's exactly how I feel about someone right now. He's fucking making me sick.

That’s pretty easy. It’s about being addicted to someone for too long, about the need to escape, to live your life on your own. It could be about a boyfriend, could be about toxic parents, etc. Sometimes life is like a rehab… Great song

    Song Meaning

Well yea, she is referring a guy to a pill...not just any pill...but an opiate.. Because if you take any narcotic pain killers that has opiates for awhile such as Oxycontin, Vicodin, Percocet, your body becomes used to it and then when you quit..you get very very sick..other word for it is withdrawal. I was addicted to them for a year after a car accident...and going through all that kinda does compare to a relationship with a guy. haha.
