Streamline Lyrics

SYSTEM OF A DOWN - Streamline

I wasn’t there for you!
I wasn’t there for you!

I know weather's gonna be fine
But I can see you across the streamline
My love waits for me in daytime
But I can see you through the snowblind

I wasn’t there for you!
You are gone
I wasn’t there for you!
Good-byes are long
Good-bye
I wasn’t there for you!
Good-bye
I wasn’t there for good-bye
I wasn’t there for good-bye

Well I know type reveals in hindsight
I can wrestle with the stormy night
Because your love last a lifetime
But I can see you through the snowblind

I wasn’t there for you!
You are gone
I wasn’t there for you!
Good-byes are long
You are gone
I wasn’t there for you!
Good-byes are long
Good-bye

I wasn’t there for you (quiet)
I wasn’t there (quiet)
I wasn’t there for you (quiet)
I wasn’t there for you!
You are gone
I wasn’t there for you!
Good-byes are long
Good-bye
Good-bye
Good-bye

SOAD has another song called "Soil", which is about a friend who killed himself. I think this song is about the same friend, but written after coming to terms with his death. "Streamline" is much less angry, and also ends in a restful way - the complete opposite of "Soil". Don't know why I see that connection but it's interesting nonetheless.

I think that it's about lossin someone. As the streamline is the limit between sand and see, can also be the limit between life and death and maybe "weather's gonna be fine" or "My love waits for me in daytime" means that they are going to be united in heaven or something like that

shit. okay whay does every effin system of a down song have to do with political crap, can't there lame ass fans open there eyes and realize that all there songs are not devoted to politics and america. i wish some of you people had more open minds, i think this song has nothing to do with politics or america or war. honestly can't they write one song about there feelings towards someone they love, or do they not fall in love like the rest of the world.

Their name is SYSTEM OF A DOWN. The name sums up everything for them, you can't even see that. You're the one who needs to open your eyes, America has blinded and desensitized millions of people to reality. You're a slave. It is okay and normal to write a song about nothing but if you analyze their lyrics you'll understand. I bet you're one of those guys who thinks 9-11 was a major horrific american tragedy when really it was a lie; the government was involved, and organized it. You need to have a more open mind, you believe everything...

i think this song is about how serj lost someone he loved and it was because he wasn't there for her as it says in the song. and he can see her going about her own life and he misses her. or it could be a song with no meaning whatsoever for the scorpian king soundtrack

Yeah, i think you're pretty much right, genocia. Serj can still see the lost person no matter what (through the snowblind, etc.)....btw, on the first verse, did serj not sing "i know weather's gonna be fine"?

this song is a cover song, i am not sure but like all the others, they did not write it. so its not thier work they jus perform it. so theres no SOAD brilliance behind this one most likely

This song is great, I have it stuck in my head, in fact I am reasonably impressed with most of the songs on the Scorpion King soundtrack. Even if its was a stupid movie.

@Harbinger but you have to admit, the movie clips.
