It's only the wind blowing litter all around
Just a little wind and the trees are falling down
There's nobody crying, that was yesterday
Inside we're all smiling, everything's okay

It's only the wind blowing cans along the street
Someone's dustbin lid playing havoc with the peace
There's nobody hiding behind a locked door
And no one's been lying, 'cause we don't lie any more

It's only the wind, how it takes you by surprise
Suddenly begins, then before you know it dies
My hands are not shaking, I don't touch a drop
You must be mistaken, I know when to stop

When life is karma, I have no doubt
No angry drama, a storm blows itself out

It's only the wind, they say it's getting worse
The trouble that it brings haunts us like a curse
My nerves are all jangled, but I'm pulling through
I hope I can handle what I have to do

When life is karma, I have no doubt
No angry drama, a storm blows itself out
A storm blows itself out...

I'm sorry

The 'wind' comes for warning us about our little tricks for deceiving ourselves regard to the things that we should do but we don't do them and about the things that we should left to do but we still do them, since one day all this trash that we are used to sweep under the rug can reach such a huge size that we can make a wind into a storm for punishing us for everything we left to resolve it. Or the 'karma' that we've generated for ourselves... Thus if you put yourself in a big trouble, don't complain furiously about it. I'm sorry.

That's weird. I'm sure I visited this site last year and discovered the meaning of this song on this very page. All but one comment has since been deleted.

This song is about domestic violence. The wind being the unpredictable rage that suddenly develops from the partner you love. And dies just as quickly. It's a sensitive subject and I think it was brave to write the lyrics from the point of view of the aggressor. To me, it makes the song more poignant and emotional. In the first three verses there are several denials, and I get the feeling it's mainly due to the shame associated rather than malice and the intention of causing more harm. In the last verse there is admittance and a hint that the character in the song is going to deal with the problem. Then there is the final line, which is particularly difficult to listen to when you consider the context.
