Right Next Door To Hell Lyrics
I'll take a nicotine, caffeine, sugar fix
Jesus don't ya git tired of turnin' tricks
But when your innocence dies
You'll find the blues
Seems all our heroes were born to lose
Just walkin' through time
You believe this heat
Another empty house another dead end street
Gonna rest my bones an sit for a spell
This side of heaven this close to hell
Right next door to hell
Why don't you write a letter to me yeah
I said I'm right next door to hell
An so many eyes are on me
Right next door to hell
I got nowhere else to be
Right next door to hell
Feels like the walls are closing in on me
My mama never really said much to me
She was much too young and scared ta be
Hell "Freud" might say that's what I need
But all I really ever get is greed
An most my friends they feel the same
Hell we don't even have ourselves to blame
But times are hard and thrills are cheaper
As your arms get shorter
your pockets get deeper
Right next door to hell
Why don't you write a letter to me yeah
I said I'm right next door to hell
An so many eyes are on me
Right next door to hell
I never thought this is where I'd be
But I'm right next door to hell
Thinkin' time'll stand still for me
Fuck you
Bitch
Not bad kids just stupid ones
Yeah thought we'd own the world
An gettin' used was havin' fun
I said we're not sad kids just lucid ones eah
Flowin' through life not collectin' anyone
So much out there
Still so much to see
Time's too much to handle
Time's too much for me
It drives me up the walls
Drives me out of my mind
Can you tell me what this means...huh?

I really like the bass intro here. Very threatening sounding, and then when Axl yells and the second guitar enters, it let's you know how great this album is gonna be if this is the first time you hear it. I know that's how I felt.

This song is about the consequences of fame, particulary concerning a specific incident Axl had with his neighbor, and the stress it causes. Basically, Axl is saying that he and the other guys in the band were young and naive before they were famous. They thought it would be all fun and games, only to realize the loss of pricacy and public scrutinty that it brought. He touches upon the reasons he wanted fame and how all his heros went through the same thing. Many of songs on Use Your Illusion touch upon the themes of the loss of innocence and dissillusionment.

I saw it in the reallity chanel, that axl wrote this song cause of his neighboor, who really damn him. the neighboor, actually was a woman and couldn't live with the "24/7" R'N'R life of Axl. i think this was some kind of hotel where they lives. but anyway, this song really kick fat asses to the air!:) great start of the Use Your Illusion Lunacy...

This track kicks off Use Your Illusion I, and is an explosive representative of the album's overall persona - With its fiery cover and pummeling lyricism.
'Right Next Door' to hell is said to be partly inspired by Axl Rose's less-than-accomadating neighbors, who complained so much about his loud parties and deafening music, that one morning he hurled a half-empty beer bottle at a woman as she stood on her doorstep.

It's about his neighbor in the condo's he used to live in. Go on youtube and search for "Evict Axl". It was a sweepstakes in like...1991 I think to win Axl's condo in LA.

it's about a person/people who's living a "real hell".

about Axl's crazy ex neighbor
