What these bitches want from a nigga?
Hmm (Ruff Ryders), DMX break 'em off
What these bitches want from a nigga?
Break 'em off a lil' somethin'
(And oh yeah by the way, it's the entity)

Ay yo, dawg, I meet bitches, discrete bitches
Street bitches, slash, Cocoa Puff sweet bitches (what?)
Make you wanna eat bitches, but not me
Y'all niggas eat off the plate all you want but not D (uh)
I fucks with these hoes from a distance
The instant they start to catch feelings
I start to stealin' they shit
Then I'm out just like a thief in the night
I sink my teeth in to bite
You thinkin' life, I'm thinkin' more like, what's up tonight?
Come on ma, you know I got a wife
And even though that pussy tight I'm not gon' jeopardize my life (aight?)
So what is it you want from a nigga? (What?)

Nothin' more, nothin' less but you at my door (yeah, yeah)
Willin' to confess that it's the best you ever tested (aight)
Better than all the rest, I'm like, "Aight girlfriend, hold up (tell me)

What these bitches want from a nigga? Really want

And that's all they fuckin' with, but see these bitches don't know (uh)
If these bitches ain't for real (uh-huh), these bitches don't go (uh)
Knock on door, no show, I'm sleep tryin' to creep
Wit yo' best friend, put it in, dig deep (X let me talk to 'em for a minute, yeah)

Oh I know I know it's so hard to be
(What these bitches want from a nigga?)
A victim of my reality
(What these bitches want from a nigga?)
Heard you callin' me names (alright), said I was trife
(What these bitches want from a nigga?) Yeah, yeah
One thing you gotta know, I'ma be a nigga for life, yeah

What these bitches want from a nigga? What you want?
What these bitches want from a nigga? Really want
What these bitches want from a nigga?
Shawty I keep you up on it
Bling blingin', all that jewelry, girl I bought it (ay yo)
What these bitches want from a nigga?
Tell me what you want from me
Baby, tell me what you want (what you want?)

What these bitches want from a nigga? What you want?
What these bitches want from a nigga? Really want
What these bitches want from a nigga? (Yes you do, yes you do)
Shawty I keep you up on it (what you want from me?)
Bling blingin', all that jewelry, girl I bought it (ay yo)
What these bitches want from a nigga? (Come on)
Tell me what you want from me
Baby, tell me what you want (what you want?)

I'm going to take a stab at this song at the risk of injecting more meaning than was actually intended by the artist...

During the intro, and in the chorus, the question "What these bitches want from a nigga?" is posed quite frankly. In this case, the pejorative "bitch" in this case is not universal in its application, instead referring specifically to women, as indicated by the list of female names given near the middle of the song. Conversely, the term "nigga" is meant to be representative of the male in our saga, who happens to be perplexed as to why these women are asking of him so very much.

My personal interpretation is that this song is about a man who has severe issues with commitment, and attempts to shroud them by acting like a "nigga." This is indicated best by the line "I fuck these hoes from a distance," after which he explains, in so many words, that after the woman starts getting too close for his comfort, he drives her away. For an undisclosed reason, he does not want his relationship to transcend one-night-stand status (you thinkin' life I'm thinkin' more like 'what's up tonight?'). When we later discover that our protagonist is in fact married, it further suggests that there is a fear of commitment, not only directly to his wife, but as well to making decisions: he can neither commit to his wife, nor commit whole-heartedly to the single life by leaving her.

His fear of compromising that relationship (even though that pussy tight I'm not gon' jeopardize my life) could as well suggest the possibility that there is a man vs. society struggle being had internally; that is, he has feelings for his wife and cares for her, hence his apprehension to leave her, however he also has the social expectation of being a true nigga and sleeping around with various women.

The final option I see is that this is a man who feels he has tried everything and is at wits end, and is in his own vernacular expressing how complex and incomprehensible women are to him. The title and chorus would obviously suggest that to him, women are insatiable. They are not content with sex, nor are they content with money, but they instead want it all, and it is for this reason and his resulting frustration that he is done trying to make anything work with them, and instead is plugging the necessary factors into the equations, as is suggested in his retrospection near the end of the song, “I think about when a nigga didn’t have / And a nigga told a joke and the bitches didn’t laugh / See now I do the math, I see if you got this / And this and this to some cats that nigga’s the shit.” Thereafter, in a possible concession to defeat, Sisqo admits, “I’ma be a nigga fo’ life!”

But who knows… I’m probably full of shit, however any way I look at it, I see it as a song of tragedy.

I'm african, black & married. and i feel very offended with this song. who tha hell are losers "niggers for life" and "playas" anyway?

Anyone who thinks this song is hilarious is not a person! not a true person or human. they call themselves "dogs" too anyway..........
