SPLAT
Connor Price Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I said forever on the very first day
I fell for you and landed right on my face
Boom splat
Stab me in the back, I'm bruised, bashed
Threw me to the curb like loose trash
Left me in the past like who's that
Who's that
Damn
Wish you woulda told me that you felt this way
You been stringing me along with every word you say
You hanging me out to dry, happened a thousand times
I guess I should have seen it coming any day now, look
I thought we had it, love and the magic
You had the gasoline and the matches
Lit me on fire, spark up the passion
But I guess it really just wasn't what I imagined
Woah
Guess I got to live with that huh
Chest got a hole that could fit a mac truck
Splat on the ground I ain't getting back up
But I should have known better cause I
I said forever on the very first day
I fell for you and landed right on my face
Boom splat
Right out of the blue like news flash
Thought I had control but you crashed
Left me in the past like who's that
No seriously, who is that
Splat hit the ground but I'll bounce right back
Trust me, I ain't going down like that
Custom shirts I had to dust the dirt off
Adjusted myself put the crown right back
Ding
Ok I'm shining now
Had to get lost with you to find myself
And I find it kind of funny how the moment that I'm over this it's
Can I come over quick
Nah
You had your chance but you blew it
You had me in the palm of your hand and threw it away
Now you say that you think we can do this again
Second chance okay do I look stupid
I don't need here in here in my life
Please do not text me I made up my mind
I do not want you here wasting my time
Next time around I'll be taking my time
Cause I
I said forever on the very first day

I fell for you and landed right on my

Overall Meaning

In Connor Price's song SPLAT, the artist sings about falling deeply in love with someone who, in turn, betrayed him by stabbing him in the back and leaving him for someone else. The opening lyric, "I said forever on the very first day," is a clear indication of how Price was committed and devoted to the person he loved. However, the relationship quickly plummeted, as he found himself at the receiving end of betrayal, abandonment, and heartbreak. The word "splat" is used throughout the song to describe the feeling of being knocked down and defeated, yet still trying to bounce back.

Price's lyrics convey the raw pain and disappointment of being let down by someone you trusted. The lines "Threw me to the curb like loose trash/Left me in the past like who's that" highlight the fact that the person he loved has moved on and left him feeling worthless, discarded, and forgotten. Price realizes that he should have seen this coming, but he was blinded by love and unable to see the signs of a relationship that was ultimately doomed to fail. Despite being hurt and dejected, he chooses to pick himself up and move forward rather than letting heartbreak consume him.

Overall, SPLAT is a powerful and emotional song that many listeners can relate to. The lyrics describe the pain of being hurt by someone you love, but also provide a message of hope and resilience. Price's moody, soulful singing adds another dimension to the track, making it an unforgettable musical experience.

Way better than Jack harlow, Logic, G- eazy.. Idk cant really think of anyone else that has even remotely the same flow and voice style. All of his songs in the last 6 months are radio hits. The fact he is independent is the reason its not already all over the radio stations. He needs to work that out himself or with his manager rather than an entire army of people from a label but it doesn't really matter he is getting the advertisement from social media and getting paid from spotify and youtube.
