1. Going Home was a Californian folk duo formed by Hope Sandoval and Sylvia Gomez in the mid-1980s. The pair recorded an album with Sandoval's future Mazzy Star bandmate Dave Roback, but the recordings were never officially released. One of the duo's songs, Give You My Lovin', was later recorded by Mazzy Star and released on the band's debut album She Hangs Brightly.
2 Going Home is an Pop-Punk band from Wyckoff, New Jersey.
From poppy depths of punk rock Going Home a foursome from Bergen and Passaic County. Formed in the Summer of 2005 they wasted no time and quickly put together a three song demo E.P. entitled “We Will be”. After recording their 3 song demo E.P. the band quickly booked a ton of locals shows through the state of New Jersey and also went on an extensive tour starting in NJ and ending in Cleveland, Ohio. During their extensive tour and local shows they shared the stage with the following bands All Time Low, Jet Lag Gemini, Baumer, Thursday, New London Fire, and Sleep Station. The band has recently had been looking foward to the release of their debut EP “Extra! Extra!” for Eyeball Records slated to hit stores in July 2007.
NOTE: The band has released their 6 song EP and have broken up as of August 2007. The EP is on sale only on iTunes.

What a cruel disease dementia is My dear mummy died from dementia 12 yrs ago I miss her and my dearest daddy so much ! He died from prostrate cancer my brother died from alcoholism He was my only sibling but I believe in my Lord and Saviour I’ll be with them once more never to be parted again forever in their loving arms Thank you Jesus for making this possible I love you with all of my heart for dying on a cruel cross for all who believe in you ! You took all our sins and our transgressions upon yourself and you died a horrible death for all who believe in you Thank you so much for your sacrifice I’ve lost my entire family I grew up with but you my Heavenly Father found me the perfect husband and our young man who has special needs You loved dear Jesus all my life and I couldn’t have more gratitude for loving me Thank you xxx

Two years ago (April 2016) my husband killed himself. The person I was before his violent death is gone forever. I listen to this song for hours at a time because it reminds me that our time on this planet is quite brief, and in a few years, there will come a time when I too "go home" and the experiences (and pain) of this earth will be over. The lyrics, together with the beautiful melody, is a glimpse of heavenly peace and beauty.
