One More Sick
Verbal Fenster Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Down here into the breath
All they are just lie
Cut into every word they said
Don't go on over your head, oh no, no, no
Don't go on over what they said, no, no, no
All in the word, all in the obscured
All in the conversations, don't even know
Don't run, you too, are so empty and cold
I don't hate you, so empty and cold
You end up far away, alone one in the same
Your conversation run as deep as your veins
The conversations run as deep as their veins
Don't go chasing that exhausting way
Everyone's naked at peace with themselves today
I've been looking for that fluster
I only have myself and my own disasters
My joy is gone but so is your pain
What is your god now
Will you ever be the same
They are lost in your conversation now
Saying that they have always been there
Wondering how you got that way
Now that you're sick more than they know
Now that you're sick more than they know
Now that you're sick more than they know
Now that you're sick more than they know
I've been holding my breath as long as I can
Holding my breath as long as I can
Now that I'm sick more than they know
Now that I'm sick more than they know
Now that I'm sick more than they know
Now that I'm sick more than they know
Do they find a way inside your heart and head
Break in that, kick in that shit
With the soul of empirical stares
And you, you're not right
It's all right
You, you're not right
It's all right, sick more that you know
Sick more than they know
Sick more than they know
It all just a delusion
An illusion, a feast for the eyes
It's all just a solution to the problems you created last night
It's all just an illusion, just a feast for the eyes
It's all just a solution to the problems you created last night
Watch your tongue, watch your tongue
Watch your words
Made them all come around alive
Seems like there's no effect in the matter of
Disaster is the fact they make
Say what they mean and mean what they say
The lyrics of Verbal Fenster's song "One More Sick" delve into themes of deception, exhaustion, and self-reflection.
In the first verse, the singer expresses a sense of vitality and awareness, contrasting themselves with those who perpetuate lies and falsehoods. They caution against getting too caught up in what others say or think, advising against going over one's head. The mention of the broken systems highlights the disillusionment and emptiness prevalent in society.
The second verse explores feelings of loneliness and disconnect. The conversations people engage in are shallow and lack depth, mirroring the shallowness found in their veins. The repetitive mention of being sick suggests a metaphorical illness, possibly symbolizing a disconnection from others or a sense of being lost.
The chorus further emphasizes the singer's isolation and their yearning for a sense of peace and authenticity. The juxtaposition of the singer's own disasters and the loss of joy suggests a personal struggle. They question the existence of a higher power and wonder if they will ever be the same. The mention of others being lost in the conversation alludes to the superficiality and lack of understanding that surrounds them.
The repetition of being sick more than they know in the subsequent verses suggests a growing disconnect between the singer and those around them. Holding their breath metaphorically represents their attempt to escape the toxicity and shallow nature of their interactions. The repeated assertion that they are sick more than others know implies a deeper emotional or mental struggle.
The final verse delves into the idea of illusion and the consequences of one's actions. It suggests that the problems and chaos of the past are self-created, and that the solutions created are merely temporary distractions. The chorus is repeated once again, emphasizing the disconnect between the individual and those who surround them.
Overall, "One More Sick" explores themes of disillusionment, isolation, and the yearning for authenticity in a world defined by lies and shallow conversations. The lyrics suggest a personal struggle with finding meaning and belonging, while also questioning the nature of existence and the impact of one's own actions.

“Then he showed these men of will....what will really was” That line gives me chills .
@scottstansell8021
I first watched Suspects on VHS, maybe six or nine months after it had been shown in theaters. When I got to the end of this scene, I stopped the VCR, walked outside my house, and just stood there looking up into the night sky for about 10 minutes, trying to collect myself. I had that very same reaction at the end, when Kujan runs out to the street, frantically searching for any sign of Verbal in the crowd.

Has anyone noticed this story was the only one the detective couldn't find a lie about from the rest of the things on the wall? He was telling the truth about this one.
@TheSP33DFREAK
He could have thought of it on his own. If he can string a yarn with all the clues on the board, he's clearly very quick thinking and creative. The Hungarian keyzer soze never existed.
